Introduction video of the case study.
An example of using the "Parts Master" package.
Improving work with flexible and inexpensive packaged software.
- Background of the implementation
-
-
Two workers were always required for the task: one to read out the sorting list for each SKU and one to perform the sorting work.
-
There were many similar products, which made them difficult to distinguish, leading to sorting errors.
-
A system capable of adapting to changes is required, as the work format alternates between the pick-and-pack method and the batch picking method depending on the volume of goods.
-
- Impact after implementation
-
-
Previously, the task required two workers: a reader and an operator. Now, by simply scanning store or SKU labels, the sorting destination, picked items, and quantities can be visually identified, eliminating the need for a reader. -
By leveraging the system aspects of the packaged software, DPS/DAS can be switched depending on the volume of goods, clients, and the number of workers, enabling operations that are highly adaptable to changes. -
Installation was carried out by logistics center employees, reducing installation costs.
