Combining conveyors with DPS.

Improvement in picking efficiency and inventory accuracy.

Background of the implementation
  • A large volume of orders needs to be processed.

  • Focus on efficiency tailored to the hit rate.

Impact after implementation
  • Achieving productivity improvement with processing of approximately 7,000 items per day. 

  • Work efficiency was achieved by building a system tailored to the on-site environment.

  • Achieving operational efficiency through system construction tailored to the field environment.

Background of the implementation

A large volume of orders needs to be processed.

There was a need to handle picking for a large number of orders (approximately 6,000 items per day).

Focus on efficiency tailored to the hit rate.

Logistics analysis based on the hit rate of items was conducted, and proposals for efficient operations were required by visualizing A-class, B-class, and C-class items.

Impact after implementation

Achieving productivity improvement with processing of approximately 7,000 items per day. 

Achieving productivity improvement with processing of approximately 7,000 items per day (peak season productivity) through conveyor-based relay picking.

Work efficiency was achieved by building a system tailored to the on-site environment.

High-hit items (A items) are now picked using two conveyor lines, enabling simultaneous picking of two orders and increasing work speed.

Achieving operational efficiency through system construction tailored to the field environment.

The final conveyor was split into a BC-class (low-hit-rate items) line and an inspection line. This allowed completed orders to bypass the BC-class line and flow directly to the inspection line, resulting in improved work efficiency.
