Enhance the efficiency of picking operations using Pick to Light System.
Digital picking refers to a task support system that utilizes digital light module. In factories and logistics centers, workers move to the location where the indicator light is illuminated and retrieve the specified number of items displayed. By following the instructions on the indicators, the picking process becomes both accurate and efficient. The operational methods are categorized into two types: the "pick-to-light" method (picking) and the "put-to-light" method (sorting). These are known as the Digital Picking System (DPS) and the Digital Assort System (DAS), respectively.
Digital picking is highly regarded as a means to significantly improve the efficiency of logistics operations, achieving over twice the productivity and more than ten times the accuracy on average compared to the traditional list method, where workers read and follow shipment instruction lists (picking lists or sorting lists).
Digital picking eliminates the steps of 'reading the list → making decisions in your head → searching for the item' inherent in list-based picking. Instead, workers pick the indicated quantity from the location where the light is blinking. This allows digital picking to process tasks at a speed at least twice as fast in a simple comparison.
The "Picking method" refers to a straightforward picking process where the required quantity of items is retrieved from the storage area for each individual order. This method allows for immediate commencement of picking operations even when sudden orders are received.
The "Seed Sowing Method" refers to a picking process where items needed for various orders are collected all at once and then sorted into individual orders. This method allows for efficient picking and reduces the overall processing time.
The Digital Sorting System is designed to streamline the sorting process using the seed sowing (assortment) method. It digitally displays the location and quantity of each item, guiding the workers through the sorting process. This system helps reduce human errors and increases the speed of operations. By attaching wireless displays to sorting containers or carts, anyone can perform accurate sorting tasks. Consequently, it contributes to improved operational efficiency and cost reduction.

We offer a variety of solutions to meet your needs, allowing you to choose a system that considers the return on investment based on the attributes of your products or parts and various logistics characteristics.
E-paper display (Electronic Paper Display)
Embracing the future of efficiency, we're pushing the boundaries of technology with our power-saving electronic paper display. Beyond just being eco-friendly, this innovation enhances visibility with clear text, barcodes, and images - revolutionizing systems beyond just digital picking. Forget about the hassle of updating paper labels. Our smart display seamlessly adapts to changes, creating a sustainable, paperless system that's as smart as it is versatile.
Wireless digital light module(NW series)
To meet the needs for free location and mobility of display devices, we are developing a wireless communication display system. This wireless display can be used not only for free location but also as a mobile system to provide work instructions while on the move. The wireless picking system is particularly suitable for those who wish to implement a digital picking system without the need for wiring and for those who want to freely move display devices. Wireless displays are widely used in sorting operations. After completing tasks, they can be removed along with racks or containers, effectively utilizing the workspace. Additionally, they can adapt to various layouts, allowing systems to be built according to the site environment. We have incorporated paperless technology to improve productivity and accuracy. This initiative eliminates the need for printers, contributing to resource conservation and energy efficiency. In response to the needs of our customers involved in manufacturing and logistics, we are not only advancing digital picking systems but also evolving work support systems. Aioi Systems is committed to meeting the needs and requirements of our customers' sites. We will continue to provide advanced work support systems, so please feel free to contact us for further information.
