Shutter Assortment System (SAS)

The Ultimate Solution for Poka-Yoke Shutters
What is SAS?
The SAS (Shutter Assort System) utilizes the latest shutter-equipped display devices (Poka-Yoke Gate Displays) to minimize sorting errors to nearly "zero." This small-scale sorting system can handle both seeding and picking operations. It enhances accuracy, improves efficiency, reduces training costs, and enables the quantification of processes.
Do you have any of these concerns?
-
Factory automation sites where important safety parts are managed and sorting and mistakes are not tolerated
-
Looking for an innovative system that makes it visually easier for activity to activity
-
Worksites where sorting errors, such as in e-commerce, are not tolerated.
-
Pharmaceutical handling sites
-
Improved work efficiency by eliminating inspection
-
High level of precision required by shippers, sellers and users
Key features of SAS
-
01
Sorting Function
When the target barcode is scanned, the light module at the sorting entrance lights up and the shutter opens. The progress bar displayed on the PC screen allows you to keep track of the activity progress in real time.
-
02
Frontage Allocation Feature
The imported work order data is sorted by the number of items per slot, allocating the slots with the most items to the front. The allocation results can be confirmed on the shipping destination list screen. This shortens the workers' movement paths and enhances operational efficiency.
-
03
Work Performance Output (CSV Export)
The work performance data is exported as a CSV file. The data content includes the actual performance data appended to the end of the work order CSV file.
-
04
Re-Display Function (Lost Item Search)
This feature allows you to redisplay completed slots during the sorting process. If there is a discrepancy between the system's status and the actual situation, you can quickly identify and resolve the incorrect slot.
-
05
Work Data Viewing Function
You can view work data by shipping destination, item, and work status (incomplete/complete).
Six Benefits of Implementation
-
01
Shutter dramatically reduces careless mistakes and improves activity accuracy
By inserting the product into the opening with the shutter, the wrong opening will not open, greatly reducing human error. It can be used for both Seeding and Picking. It is expected to greatly reduce wrong shipment and improve accuracy. There is also a type that opens from the back.
-
02
Safety-conscious design and unique wiring-saving design make it easy to use in the field
Even if a activity bumps into it, the release function works to ensure safety. Normally the shutter is locked to prevent it from opening, but it can be released with one touch, making it easy to remove containers. In addition, the wiring uses our unique AI-NET, which reduces wiring with no polarity, allowing for safe activity. The wiring is simple and easy, so customers can do their own maintenance, making it easy to use on site.
-
03
Detailed settings can be made to suit the site environment and purpose
The angle, speed, cutoff time, etc. can be set. It can be easily adjusted according to the activity content.
・Angle: Can be set up to 270 degrees, and can also be set manually to suit the site ・Speed: Can be adjusted in three stages ・Shutoff time: Can be set in 0.1 second increments -
04
Equipped with a function that allows various settings to be made using a smartphone or handy terminal
Address setting, angle, speed, and other settings can be made using NFC communication with a smartphone or handy terminal(HHT). Settings can be made even when the light module is not powered on.
-
05
Improved activity speed through paperless operations and simplified activity
picking list(slips) are no longer necessary, and picking activity can be done hands-free. There is no need to search for products, and you can go directly to the relevant item in the shortest distance. The simple activity of just dropping the item into the open shutter increases speed.
-
06
Paperless operations and reduced environmental impact.
By using the Shutter Assortment System (SAS), activity can be digitized, and the picking activity can be quantified, promoting digital transformation.

FAQs about Pick to Light System
-
It lights up in seven colors: white, red, blue, green, light blue, orange, and purple. It has three patterns: steady, flashing, and fast flashing.
-
■ picking
- To identify the activity- Multiple people activity in the same block
-History tracing by activity ID ■ sorting
・Prevents inserting the wrong product into the entrance ■ activity trigger ・Read the product tag to start activity, etc.

50 to 500 mm (settings can be changed in the special menu *in 50 mm increments).
-
If you use a quick charger, it takes about 3.5 hours. Normal charging takes about 6 hours. It depends on the model, so please Inquiry us for details.
-
Because the display uses electronic paper, the battery life is long, with the basic model lasting over 100 hours, so you only need to charge it once a week. *Charging times vary depending on the model.
A wireless light module with five LED lamps for simultaneous activity by multiple people will last approximately 20 hours and will need to be charged after a day's activity.
-
The wireless type can be freely installed on picking carts, pallet, roll box pallet, containers, etc. We will make suggestions based on the activity content and on-site environment.
-
The price is open, but there are models with unit prices ranging from several thousand yen to several tens of thousands of yen. We will provide you with a detailed quote.
-
The basic configuration is a PC, application software, a controller, and a barcode scanner. It can also be controlled under a PLC. The configuration varies depending on the site.
-
Some models are equipped with five different lamps so that instructions can be given to different activity at the same time. Depending on the combination of devices, up to seven colors are possible.
We also support simultaneous activity by multiple people through operations such as dividing the work into blocks, and will propose the optimal system to suit your on-site operations.
-
Our unique wire-saving network system can transmit data and power over two wires, allowing data communication with PCs and PLCs, and making it easy to set up a network. It can also supply power to external devices, making it possible to connect any device. With over 1,000 models available, we can suggest a light module that matches any site. In addition, we can easily incorporate new light module into an already-built Pick to Light System network to accommodate changes in the customer's site.

This is a activity support system that aims to improve the efficiency of picking and sorting operations.
By attaching a light module to the Rack , the picking simply goes to the place where the light module light is on and picking(sorting) the number of items displayed, improving activity speed and accuracy.
By linking with a higher-level WMS, the Pick to Light System makes it possible to grasp picking results and Rack inventory data in real time.
